Legal / LE

ad

Wondering if anyone has ever had domestic packages seized or run ins with LE over small user quantities of gear? (Controlled deliveries etc.)

Obviously AAS are controlled substances and there is some risk involved but wondering if anyone has personally had LE contact or heard of anyone that has had legal issues due to user quantities being shipped to them?

All my friends that wear a badge run gear.

I think much is targeted… unless you are distributing.

I’m going to say more here than I probably should, but here goes. First, don’t ever get anything delivered to your home. Second, shut up. If you get a seizure letter or of anything less than a pack being delivered to the address you gave, it’s a loss. Third, shut up. Way too many people get hemmed up by thinking that they’re a lawyer. They’re not, I’m not. I can however tell you, should you get pulled over, a landlord lets police in your home, a police officer comes to your home for a different issue, if the drug or other illegal object is not on your person, you are not in immediate possession of it, shut the fuck up. You’ll be arrested, possibly charged, but it will not stick. Police officers are not your friends, don’t try to explain, get clever, or reason with LE. Just shut up and let an attorney sort things out for you. 99.9% of convictions are because guys think they know the laws or think they can spin a nice yarn. Just be quiet. Silence is golden.

Facts! Cops/Detectives are not your friends in this matter. They have a job to do and it isn't in your favor. If something were to happen, zip it. Invoking your 5th amendment right is not an admission of guilt. Especially, if you find yourself in a bad situation. The moment they read you your rights ask for a lawyer and don't say anything further.

If they have already decided they're going to arrest you, you're not going to talk your way out of it. You'll have your day in court. Leave it to your lawyer. Vet your sources and do a little "spring cleaning" around your home while waiting for TD. USPS (as far as I know) is the only service that is protected under the 4th amendment. If they seize a package, either you or your source messed up.

If it's from overseas and seized by customs, you USUALLY (emphasis on usually) just recieve a seizure letter and that's the end of it (if you leave it alone). If they have reason to believe your manufacturing or distributing, it can go down quite differently. Never respond to any seizure letter and get rid of it. The address used is done, flagged, and shouldn't be used again. Consider that order a loss unless your source is willing to reship to a different address. Nothing is 100% and we are all knowingly taking a risk. CYA the best you can.

I did read that. Maybe I didn't go deep enough into the thread but most experiences seemed to deal with international packages not domestic.

DeeMan's picture

I can see why you would say that. Yes once mail hits American soil it's domestic but the key is where it was before it hit American soil. All that is noticed.

Pumped_'s picture

Well using federal mail its all the same once it reaches our soil. Ots the federal mail service that starts the process so domestic, international its all the same in mail crimes

Drexyl's picture

True, but there’s important differences. @Greg please remove this if I’m breaking any rules. Carrier Pigeon, Pigeon Express, Panda Express, any non-government service can open packages at their discretion, it’s in the fine print and they do. Now of course there’s assholes in every industry, Pony Express included, however the Pony Express is restricted on what they can and cannot do without a warrant issued by a judge. Random package searches do happen, flagged addresses are a very real thing, but the Pony Express has legal protocol they must follow. Best advice I can give is if it feels off, it’s a loss.

He got caught cause he cheated on his GF and she called his work and said when his next order was coming. They did a controlled delivery and busted him. Don’t cheat on your girl if you tell her what you’re doing illegally is my advice lol.

I had a close friend get sentenced in MD for one year and 5 years of supervised probation for receiving CDS through carrier pigeon, conspiracy with intent to distribute CDS and they tried to charge him with possession of firearm with a drug charge. That last charge was dropped. (The firearms were legally owned and locked in a safe in his house, but just tried to stack BS charges)Feds got involved and didn’t pick it up. The state picked up the case and did find him guilty. Additionally he had no priors but was a federal prison guard, think maybe that was the reason. It was a fairly mid sized order. So yes, it can definitely happen.

Found guilty on conspiracy to distribute( if they dropped charges means he could have plead out)means they had proof he was evading taxes and making income off it. Or had enough for them to convince a jury he was. Dont try to be the neighborhood dealer and you should be ok. Never been locked with anyone for "possession" of steroids. That gun charge was presented then dropped to get him to plead guilty to the conspiracy and get high sentence. Thats how they work they charge you with tons so when they offer you a deal you think you are getting a deal.

Did he try to have the package delivered to his place of work??!

His place, but since he was considered a federal law enforcement officer, they worked with OIG and the state police. Luckily he was able to retire before they could charge him with misconduct or whatever he said. So he did time and collected a federal retirement. Apparently federal COs are considered law enforcement officers. I didn’t believe him until I looked it up. They can carry a gun and everything off duty under LEOSA. He’s a good dude and they hammered him over freaking steroids. Fuck the feds.

Thing is with things like this is they HAVE to make an example of him, there is no other choice I guess. If its seen to be deemed okay for someone in his line of work to be receiving AAS in the post then many more will do it. I have to admit that if I was a cop or similar I wouldn't dare do anything like that, would rather befriend a dealer at the gym or use a trusted family member. I guess he was getting away with it for years before though, Women eh - lovely creatures!!

Idk man, I feel like your way more likely to get caught up using a dealer. Like someone seeing the hand to hand and getting pulled over. Plus the person your getting from could be being watched and you get caught up in it. I think what we do is the safest way

I guess looking at it that way makes sense. I’ve always only bought for myself, never sold gear or given gear away to anyone. People assume I use, but they can assume all they want. I’m an extremely private person and will always keep my mouth shut.

I am exactly the same mate, never even given a vial or pack of tablets away as there can easily be so many repercussions from it. Fingerprints on things, people recording on camera phones, people simply grassing on you to the police it goes on. Even telling your pals in the street you use gear - they will let that be common knowledge before you know it. That then means you have gear in your house and it doesn't take long before cops want to be in your house seeing what else if anything that you have. If you want to keep something a secret you tell absolutely NOBODY - No family or best pals no one. I use to trust my parents to say things to - they then would tell a sister and before you knew it the entire fucking family knew. Cousins tell friends esp now with social media.

Spot on, more people need to use this method. It’s common knowledge from being in the military (discharged 100% P&T) we all used but kept it to ourselves, never asked questions as should be. I don’t care how close you or your friends, family, significant other is. If only you know then take it to your grave.

I’ve done more time in state prison than I want to admit. Never once seen anyone in there for steroids. That’s all I can offer
