Personal experience with Mounjaro (a very similar peptide). Id suggest you think of it in the same terms as long ester test. It take a few weeks to build up in your system, so don’t rush it. There’s no take backs for going to fast and getting into some of the nasty sides, since it’s a very long half-life drug. You’ll probably notice week two a few lbs dropping (mostly dehydration, IMO, if you’re not upping fluids). After that, hunger goes away, no more cravings, so you can focus on a clean diet. The only thing I hated about my 6 month journey on it was how uncomfortably full you’d get, as it’d be inconsistent. One day, a small meal goes down fine, the next day the same thing has you laying on the floor. I didn’t experience any of the bad sides, thankfully. I dropped 35lbs, from 25% down to 18%. Which previous attempts had proven very challenging. I’d also give it some credit for helping me drop alcohol, which just sucked to drink and have it slosh around in your stomach for hours after. Lots of lifting has kept most of my muscle mass. About two months off of it, and I’ve shaved another 1%. Really happy with it.

Semaglutide from Ultima

You'll know it's working when you go to eat a meal and suddenly can't eat another bite midway through. Takes 2-3 weeks for the appetite suppression part to really kick in, so if by end of 2nd week your appetite is the same, increase the dose. Then same each week. 0.25 a week until you're noticing appetite loss. You should also feel some lethargy and stomach upset with contstipation (or diarrhea for some). There's no danger to taking larger dose but side effects will suck balls. It's a very safe drug. Good luck!

I take this for my diabetes. I dropped 15 pounds one month in. Kills my appetite. I did .25 for 4 weeks then bumped up to .5 this week. Pay attention to what you eat because the side effects are no joke

What type of side effects, I never heard of this compound before?

Daddylopez's picture

People has complained about nausea, diarrhea for hours, projectile vomiting, extreme lethargy, some
People can get pancreatitis, you can have gallstones. You have to up the dose slowly. .25 4 weeks, .5 4 weeks. 1 4 weeks, then highest dose is 2mg. I am in a diabetes group of people who take it and they have all kinds of issues. I have very minimal sides but I eat clean low carb Whole Foods. And I work out. I think if you eat like crap you will reap all the negative side effects. Like I said previously it does work because my glucose dropped from 250 to 93 and I lost about 15 pounds. I can control my appetite now but it I put in the work as well.

I think it tends to be nausea, the squits and general GI stuff.

My thoughts exactly

I'm sure it will take a while to see the weight loss on the scale, but it would blunt appetite almost immediately wouldn't it?

Not really sure brother. I haven't done any research on it personally

press1's picture

Yeh it isn't something I would personally buy as I'm trying to gain weight not lose it lol But its been in the papers a lot over here lately as its about to be available for free on the NHS to people with a BMI higher than 30. The active hormone in it called Semiglutide mimics the natural hormone in the body called Glucagon-like peptide-1 that helps regulate hunger and is released by the intestines after a meal. Basically it makes you feel full all the time and not hungry lol

So the NHS will help you get to 29 BMI but after that you're on your own lol. That got me thinking about what is free on this side of the pond and I came up with NOTHING

I still cannot believe you have to pay Hospital fee's over there - here when we go into A&E to be treated for a broken arm the last thing we even think about is having to pay for it to be fixed. Other surgery such as liver and kidney transplants, heart surgery all free too. Then there are Doctors fee's too, again free. I think over there you have to pay a few hundred dollars just to sit down and speak with them, scripts etc?! Property Taxes etc you get stuffed on too. Dental work is free too apart from cosmetic work like implants, veneers. The US is a pretty expensive place to live in terms of healthcare.

You've only been taking it a week. Now you plan on bumping up dose because you "didn't notice much".....bro you've only been on a week, of course you won't "notice much". I've never taken semaglutide, but know SEVERAL people with legit pharma prescription for it....it was months, 6 minimum before they noticed anything, and that's on top of a strict diet and ample gym time. Be safe and good luck

SuperBrish's picture

For appetite suppression- It takes a few weeks, not months. At least in my experience. I lost 30 pounds in 3 months. Weight really started falling off the second month. I increased my dose pretty quickly. Was taking 1 mg a week start of 2nd month. Then 1.5 3rd month and 2mg per week 4th 5th and 6th month. Got to where I wanted to be and stopped after that.

I know several people that lost a lot of weight on this but I'm pretty sure it didn't happen the first week lmao

Most of these diet type drugs seem to have a rebound effect. Once off they go back to old habits and gain it all back.

FJB's picture

It all starts upstairs. You're either mentally strong enough or you're not and if you are you probably don't need this
